Frequently Asked Questions

What is your cancellation policy?

If you cancel your registration within 7 days of the course, you will receive a partial credit for a future course. A portion of your registration fee will not be included in the credit, as we must cover our food and venue expenses, and are required to commit to pricing a week in advance. If you cancel earlier, WLTA will refund your registration. Contact the WLTA office if you have any questions.

Do you offer this course virtually or on demand?

No. After providing this course for several years and tracking the success of those who take the licensing exam, we believe the in person course is the only way to effectively prepare students for the exam.

How often do you offer this course?

WLTA offers this course at least twice annually. Typically it is offered once in the fall and once in late winter/early spring. In addition, if we know there is enough demand, we will consider scheduling a third course.

How do I obtain my license?

Click below for information and links to the exam and licensing agency.

Note: Registration for the seminar does not automatically register you for the exam.

Also: The testing website suggests you will need a Pre-Licensing Certificate to take the test. This does not apply to exam for the title license.

Per Wisconsin Admin Code 26.04 a pre-licensing class is not required for a title license:

CAUTION FOR NON-WISCONSIN RESIDENTS:

If you are not a resident of the State of Wisconsin and you wish to apply for a Wisconsin Intermediary’s License (title insurance license), you will need to consult with the Office of the Commissioner of Insurance for instructions on what other licenses from your state of residence may be required before you apply in Wisconsin or take this course.  The following link may be helpful, but all questions regarding non-resident licenses must be directed to the Wisconsin Office of the Commissioner of Insurance (608-266-3585).
