I started my title insurance career in 1995 as an order entry clerk. From there, I quickly moved into searching and title examination learning the ropes from veterans in the industry. Almost 5 years later, I had the opportunity to work on a team with one of the leading Realtors in the area. I spent the next five years selling real estate, learning how to run a business and polishing my sales and people skills. It was hard work, but worth it! After five years of being a Realtor, I applied for a position at the Michigan Bankers Association in their Title Insurance and Products and Services Division. Within three years, I was promoted to Director of the Title Insurance Division. During that time, I managed four bank-owned title agencies and assisted in all departments. Our team created and opened a back-room operation designed to minimize expenses and increase efficiencies resulting in extremely profitable results for 53 banks throughout Michigan. This experience helped shape the next chapter in my life, the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. I met my husband, Greg, in 2013. He was born a Yooper and is the greatest thing to happen to me. I knew that Transnation Title Agency was a growing and very successful agency so I approached them about opening a branch in Manistique, which is where I was moving to. They hired me in 2014 as a branch manager. Since then, I became an owner and opened four very successful branches in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. In addition, I was promoted to the Northern Division manager in 2023, overseeing additional offices in northern, lower Michigan. Due to our close location to Wisconsin, multiple customers inquired about us providing title insurance services there. So, we became licensed in Wisconsin with Fidelity National Title Insurance Company as our underwriter. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with Greg and our children, Ella and Kaleb. We love the outdoors during every season. We are avid snowmobilers, RZR riders and love fishing. I couldn’t relieve stress without music, so that is my favorite past time. 1st Chair CBC of Schoolcraft County, 1st Chair of MLTA Career Pathways Committee, Past President of the Lake States Bankers Association, Past Volunteer for Ele’s Place and the Sparrow Foundation (Lansing area), Past member and committee chair for the Women’s Council of Realtors (Lansing chapter), Past member of Resource Development Committee for Habitat for Humanity Hiawathaland, Member of the Michigan Bankers Association, Michigan Land Title Association, American Land Title Association, Upper Peninsula Association of Realtors, Michigan Traveling Circus, 3-time speaker at the Michigan Bankers Association BEST conference, and Course instructor for Continuing Education for Realtors.
